SCOTT'S PRIORITIES

Scott’s Vision for McKinney

As McKinney Mayor, I will:

  • PROPERTY TAXES: I will make it a top priority to keep taxes as low as possible, ensuring financial relief for our residents and making McKinney an attractive place for families and businesses to thrive.

  • PUBLIC SAFETY: Our first responders are the backbone of our community. They deserve to be the best-paid in Collin County, ensuring we recruit and retain top talent to keep McKinney safe.

  • INFRASTRUCTURE: Fixing potholes and maintaining roads aren’t just basic city services—they’re essential to our quality of life. I will be focused on delivering the core services our residents expect and deserve.

  • PEOPLE OVER POLITICS: By listening, communicating, and fostering transparency, we will bridge the gap between our residents and their government. The people of McKinney should never feel unheard or sidelined by bureaucracy—our city’s future will be shaped by its citizens, not government overreach.

MY PRIORITIES

As I have shared my decision to run for Mayor of McKinney, some have jokingly asked, “What are you thinking?” Since laying down my political cap in 2023, I have enjoyed time with my 3 grandchildren, embarked on some big projects in my role as Executive Pastor at Cottonwood Creek Church, and developed a bit of a pickleball addiction. So why would I get back in the ring now?

McKinney has a unique sense of friendliness and community that needs to be protected and promoted. I have never felt like a politician, but the unique, strong and friendly people of McKinney make it impossible for me not to advocate for you and our city. I love McKinney and want to see it prosper.

Leadership sets the tone of the city. As mayor, a positive disposition and a conviction that the best is yet to come for McKinney will magnify the amazing attributes of our people, and produce fruitful results.
