A Record you can Trust

Scott Sanford is a proven leader with a deep commitment to serving others—who has never hesitated to stand up when it matters most. As McKinney’s next Mayor, Scott brings bold leadership, integrity, and a clear vision to guide the city forward. His record of service speaks for itself, and his dedication to McKinney’s future is stronger than ever.

As a former 10-year Texas House Representative, Scott fought for his constituents, earning their trust by delivering real results that improved lives across the community. He took on tough issues head-on, working to cut wasteful spending, support local businesses, and strengthen Texas families. Scott served key committees like Ways & Means, where he played a role in shaping tax policy and economic initiatives and Public Education, where he ensured students and teachers had the resources they needed to succeed.

Scott was instrumental in promoting legislation that had a direct and lasting impact on the community.

  • The Pastor Protection Bill allowed ministries to continue officiating weddings according to the dictates of their conscience without fear of being sued.

  • The Fostel Bill created a new set of qualified individuals to temporarily house children displaced from their homes in CPS cases. This allowed children to stay in their neighborhoods and continue attending their schools during displacement, providing them with stability during difficult times.

In each of these efforts, Scott was committed to standing up for what was right and making sure the voices of Texas families were heard.

Scott’s priority is clear: to serve with integrity, stand up for our values, and make decisions that put people first. His leadership is defined by a commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and a focus on delivering results that matter to McKinney and beyond.

Whether guiding his congregation or at the State Capitol, Scott has consistently shown the steady, principled leadership McKinney needs.
