The Prosper FFA program showed livestock in the Collin County Junior Livestock Show during Jan. 9 – Jan. 14, 2017, and overall had a successful week. Participating students range from seventh grade through 12th grade, and they showed rabbits, pigs, goats, sheep and steer.

Special recognition goes to:

For steer, Lawson Herman, a junior at Prosper High School, won first place/Grand Champion in Class 5 of the European Cross division and his steer weighed 1220 pounds;

For pigs, Chris Reno, a sophomore at PHS, won first place/Best in Class in Class 2 of the Crossbred division and his pig weighed 111 pounds;

Students will continue to show livestock over the next few weeks at the Fort Worth Livestock Show.
