McKINNEY, Texas (Oct. 29, 2015) – The City of McKinney Communications and Marketing Department was honored with a Pegasus Award of Honor for the 2014 Annual Report “Where we live. work. play.” during the annual Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Dallas Communications Summit.

PRSA Dallas is the top professional public relations and communications organization in Dallas. The Pegasus Awards from PRSA Dallas recognize the most outstanding public relations and strategic communications efforts in the Dallas area. The Communications and Marketing Department also won a national Savvy Award presented by 3CMA in September for the Annual Report.

“Each year, the Annual Report provides the city with an avenue to share important accomplishments and financial information with residents and businesses. Throughout the report there is a strong sense of pride in the City of McKinney,” said CoCo Good, Director of the McKinney Communications and Marketing Department. “We are proud that this report has won awards from the highest levels of both the private and public sectors.”

The 2014 Annual Report provided a host of statistics that show McKinney a superior city, stemming from the city’s ranking as #1 on the Best Places to Live in America by Money Magazine.
